Naturopathic Care & Dermatology
Naturopathic healthcare is a distinct approach to acute and chronic health conditions - emphasizing prevention and natural therapies that promote the individual’s inherent self-healing process. The human body has a natural inclination to be in homeostasis and in alignment given the proper nutrients within the body and external circumstances.
The naturopathic consultations are for those choosing a more natural and holistic approach to their health concerns and life in general. Therapies include nutrition and lifestyle counseling, dietary supplements, botanical herbs and homeopathy.
Dr. Duong has special focus on naturopathic dermatology with over 10 years experience treating acne, eczema, psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions.

Initial Naturopathic Visit
During your first appointment, we will take your health history, find out about your diet, stress levels, exercise and sleep patterns, and discuss why you've come in. We will also work with you to set up a customized plan for any testing, supplementation and acupuncture care.
If time permits, a balancing acupuncture treatment will also be included to calm down the nervous system and allow the mind, body and spirit to integrate through complete rest.
A first visit with a patient is typically 60-75 minutes.
Follow-up Naturopathic Visit
Follow-up appointments consist of naturopathic care —review of systems, specialty labs order/review, and supplementation.
Follow-up appointments are typically 60 minutes.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the insertion of extremely thin needles through the skin at strategic points on your body, known as meridian points along energy channels. Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force—known as qi. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, energy flow will re-balance and bring about a therapeutic effect - such as less pain.
Acupuncture treats a wide range of health conditions, from infertility to anxiety to musculoskeletal pain. In addition, Dr. Duong has found acupuncture to be a gateway to spirituality and seen patients reconnect with themselves through the deep rest received during regular acupuncture treatments, allowing nervous system regulation and prevention of burnout.

Initial Acupuncture Visit:
Acupuncture first office visits consist of a detailed interview centered around questions pertinent to Chinese medicine, tongue, and pulse diagnosis, and an acupuncture treatment based on your traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosis.
An initial acupuncture visit is typically 60 minutes.
Follow-up Acupuncture
Follow-up acupuncture visits address acute and chronic health concerns. During this time, we will assess your response to the previous treatment and adjust the acupuncture treatment protocol accordingly.
Acupuncture follow-up visits last approximately 45-60 minutes. Packages are available for 4 and 8 visits.
Fertility & Pregnancy Acupuncture
Acupuncture for fertility and during pregnancy is a complementary therapy used to help women and men along their journey of trying to conceive and brining baby into the world. Traditional Chinese Medicine views fertility and pregnancy as the result of balanced hormones, healthy circulation, low stress, and strong organ systems.
With regular and timed acupuncture treatments, we aim to regulate hormones, improve blood flow to reproductive organs, reducing stress and cortisol and supporting assisted reproductive technologies of IVF and IUI.
Whether it is trying to conceive naturally or with assisted fertility treatments or during pregnancy acupuncture is a great addition to the healthcare team for a balanced mind, body and spirit.
